A Night to Forget

I had hopes of getting so much done last week, but instead I was sick.  Sore throat, fever and chills.  My head hurt to lay on the pillow.  So I slept most of the day which was alright since Bert was at a Men's Retreat all weekend.  Nights were the worst, chills and then waking up soaking wet.
Sprinkles
Now I sleep with 4 dogs.  Charlie sleeps on the other side of the bed next to the pillow, Lily and Sprinkles sleep curled up at the foot of the bed and Bubbles sleeps on the floor in a dog bed.  I had finally gotten to sleep with the help of a lot of cold meds when I was awaken when Sprinkles decided to let out one of her loud, aggressive barks.
I quickly jumped up as did all the dogs.  Trying to figure out what was going on.  I realized I had gotten up to quick or the meds had really made me drowsy, but I was dizzy.  I leaned against the chair while the spots were flashing in my eyes when I became aware that I had almost fallen on Bubbles who did not take to kindly to that and began growling and pulling at my pants leg.  The more I pushed her with my hand the more feisty she became.

Finally I pulled myself together enough to make a walk thru of the house and could not find Sprinkles' invisible intruder.
I got back into bed only to discover that it was wet.  Lily and Charlie  both had the pee scared out of them when Sprinkles barked.  So I get up and change the sheets, (all the while having chills) take the sheets to the laundry room and start the washer.
I am on my way to the bathroom when I step in something wet.  I look up and Bubbles is sitting by the sliding door looking at me like, "It's your fault".  I open the sliding door and herd all four of them outside and then cleaned up the mess.
I crawled back into bed thinking that the girls would be coming in soon, but heard Charlie playing with the garbage can lid.  I get up and go into the kitchen only to discover all of them having a snack.  I herd them back to the bedroom and close the door.  They all assume their positions as if nothing had happened.  All except me who was now wide awake. What a night!!!!!!!!!
